What happens in the first session?

The first session gives you an opportunity to get to know your therapist and to talk about your concerns. Typically, you will discuss how long you have been feeling the way you are feeling or how long the problem has existed.

You will also discuss anything you have tried that has helped or perhaps made things worse. Depending on the nature of the problem this process may take a couple of sessions, but the result is we work together to create a plan to address the problems and make the changes you want.

How Much Does Therapy Cost if I Have Insurance?

Each insurance plan is different and varies in what they pay their providers. As a client, you are responsible for your copays and deductibles. However, we will contact your insurance company directly prior to your appointment to determine your eligibility and benefits, along with providing you with your estimated out-of-pocket cost.

Can I Afford Therapy?

We accept a variety of insurance plans as well as private pay options. We do our best to make therapy as affordable as possible for people. Sliding scale payment options are also available and are based on economic need. This means that we will attempt to agree upon a fee that works for both you and the therapist. If our practice is unable to work within your financial means, we will refer you to someone who can.

Who Do I Contact If I Have a Question or Concern Billing or Records?
