At Aloe Psychology we know that the relationship between therapist and client is very important.
The client must first feel comfortable establishing a level of trust and respect.

Dr. Nicole Law
PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
Psychology, Therapy
Dr. Law is the founder and owner of Aloe Integrative Psychology Group. Her path here was anything but direct — she began with a degree in English Literature, spent time as a cross-cultural educator in Brazil, and eventually found her way to psychology through a shared question: what does it mean to truly understand another person? She completed her doctoral training in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology, writing her dissertation on the relationship between healthcare providers and patients navigating perinatal grief. That thread has never left her work.
Her clinical specialties include perinatal mood disorders, pregnancy loss, assisted reproduction, parenting, twice-exceptional individuals (those who are both gifted and differently wired), and transgender youth. She has presented regionally on LGBTQIA youth suicide prevention and is a member of APA’s Division 32 (Society for Humanistic Psychology), Division 35 (Psychology of Women), and Division 44 (LGBT Issues).
Dr. Law created Aloe to be the kind of practice she wished existed — one where the relationship between therapist and client is treated as the foundation of care, and where clinicians are genuinely supported in doing their best work.
Dr. Rebecca Kapetansky
PsyD, DLLP
Psychology, Therapy
Dr. Kapetansky is a humanistic psychologist with a specialization in neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD, and giftedness, as well as affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and those who are allied to the community. Much of her work centers on people who navigate a world that was not designed with them in mind and the unique internal or external pressures that creates. She works to help individuals navigate these systems while focusing on healing and making changes that propel people towards their therapy goals. Her objective is to increase quality of life, based on each person’s distinctive view.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of concerns including autism, ADHD, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, and gender dysphoria. With a foundation in relational cultural theory and existential therapies, she incorporates CBT, ACT, and other modalities as needed. Her goal is always the same: to understand how each person relates to themselves, others, and the world.
She recognizes the amazing strengths and qualities found in populations outside of the majority/typical, as well as the struggles. By fostering growth and self-awareness, she ensures therapy is a safe, empowering space for everyone.
To see how she can support your journey, feel free to reach out to Dr. Beckie by phone or email.

Frederick Hogan
Licensed Professional Counselor
Counseling, Therapy
Frederick Hogan, LPC, EMDR Certified
Fred Hogan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and one of the more experienced EMDR therapists in the area, having practiced and refined the approach over many years. His work is grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing model and a developmental approach — a framework that helps explain not just what people are struggling with, but why, and what it takes to move through it.
Fred works especially well with people who tend to be practical and goal-oriented: first responders, teachers, and others who are more comfortable with a structured, technique-focused approach to therapy than an open-ended one. His specialties include PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and grief and loss, and he works with both adolescents and adults.
His path to private practice was built on deep clinical experience. After earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and his master’s in counseling from Oakland University, he spent twelve years working with children at a state psychiatric facility, followed by more than eight years as a therapist at Macomb County Community Mental Health. That foundation shows up in his work as steady, experienced, and focused on results.

Each person’s journey is unique, shaped by their own experiences and challenges. My primary goal is to connect with clients on a personal level, provide understanding, and offer support throughout their process. I take a tailored approach, using therapeutic techniques that align with each client’s individual strengths and needs.
With extensive training and hands-on experience in psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, I am able to work effectively with both short-term, goal-focused methods and long-term, in-depth exploration.
Over the past 24 years, I have had the honor of working with a wide range of populations, including young adults, older adults, individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, and those experiencing mood and anxiety disorders. My approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centered, with a strong focus on empowering clients to develop tools to navigate life’s challenges.
I see clients Monday through Thursday and currently providing Telehealth session only.
